Lucie Hendry is a lever harpist from northeast Scotland, whose music bridges the rich traditions of Scottish folk with the innovative sounds of the Nordic music scene. Drawing inspiration from her folk roots, the natural world, and a broad spectrum of music genres, Lucie crafts a sound that is both refreshing and evocative.
Lucie leads a dynamic trio featuring Scottish guitarist Chris Amer and Danish drummer Christoffer Skovhus. Together, they combine their distinctive styles with Lucie's original compositions, creating a captivating blend of tradition and modernity.
In June 2023, Lucie released her debut solo album, Land of Eden. The nature-themed album has received widespread acclaim and national airplay in both Denmark and the United Kingdom, leading the trio to perform at major festivals across both countries such as Celtic Connections, Stonehaven Folk Festival, Godtfolk, Copenhagen and Aarhus Jazz Festival.
With a growing reputation in the global harp community, Lucie was a finalist in BBC Radio Scotland's Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2021, and was nominated for ‘Up and Coming Artist of the Year’ at the 2023 Scots Trad Music Awards. Her innovative approach to the lever harp and commitment to cross- cultural collaboration have established her as a unique voice on the international music scene.
